Tuesday may not be the wildest night of the week, but last night was plenty rowdy for La Crosse police who had to deal with a naked man and a guy on a power pole.
The first incident came about 9:20 p.m. when police were called to the 100 block of S. 10th Street where a man in his early 20s was naked, walking down the middle of the road.
Police tried to talk to the guy, who was apparently dazed and confused. He kept talking about going to his mother’s house, on a hill, but unsure what her address is.
The man’s clothes were found about one block away. And police found hallucinogenic mushrooms in the man’s pants pocket.
Police arrested the man for lewd and lascivious behavior and possession of a hallucinogenic drug.
Just before 2 a.m. Wednesday, police had to deal with a drunk man who was climbing a power pole on the 200 block of Main Street.
The man was screaming as he climbed, police report.
After the man was talked down, he failed a series of sobriety checks and registered a bac of 0.20, according to police.
The 25-year-old man was cited for public intoxication and released, police report.
