This was something no one wants to see, especially two La Crosse police officers with better things to do at 12:30 on a Friday morning.
A complainant called police to report some risky business in an alley behind Jimmy John’s sandwich shop in downtown La Crosse.
There they found Robert Herrick, 23, and a 21-year-old woman, um, showing their love for each other.
Cops waited for the startled lovebirds to dress. They had met that night, the woman said, and reassured the officers the act was consensual.
Both were cited for disorderly conduct and cops discovered a pesky bench warrant had been issued for Herrick Aug. 6 for a operating while revoked case.
What a way to get busted.
The woman was released back to her friends waiting on the other end of the alley, while Herrick was hauled off to jail.
