Fall is such an awesome time of year, especially for running. The mild temperatures and beauty of the change of seasons makes going for a run a lot easier than on those hot summer days. It's also a great time of year for races. Here are a few you may want to consider:

If you're looking for something longer, there's the Gravy Train 12 Mile Fun Run Saturday, Nov. 22 starting at the Rochester YMCA. For more info,you can call race director Jean Murray at 507-288-0242 or e-mail murray.jean@mayo.edu.

There's also Gobble Gait 2008 on Thanksgiving Day Nov. 27 in Hastings, Minn. There's an 8K at 8:30 a.m. or 2K walk/run at 8:30 a.m.
Registration begins at 6:30 a.m. and participants are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item on race day. All proceeds will be donated to Hastings Family Service.
