50 worst album covers, and a tiny bit of help (maybe) for investors

.
I’m more than old enough to remember when music was available for purchase in only one format -- vinyl, either in the form of an LP or a 45, which revolved at 33-and-a-third and 45 revolutions per minute respectively on turntables that brought the sound to life.

In the case of the LP (long play), this gave rise to the art of the album cover, and because of its physical size, a palette for artists, photographers, art directors and marketing people even larger than what existed similarly for books.

Anyone my age can instantly recall various memorable album covers, the images and their impressions still strong. And most baby boomers have their own opinions on what they consider the best album covers, which, of course, can only mean that somewhere there must be a show of the worst.

" I stand by my eight twenty seven pm post. "

Ronnie wrote on Nov 12, 2008 1:10 PM:

" Nope. You're wrong. I answered on the other board. "

To Ronnie wrote on Nov 11, 2008 8:27 PM:

" Wrong again "Ronnie". I jumped between boards because this discussion is on both of them. As I said before, I don't have to "fool anyone" like your trying to do posing as different people. I may not use my "real name" but I'm also not pretending to be more than one person like you. Using your analogy Limbaugh must be making a lot of "mistakes" then. I believe he does lie everyday but you don't want to listen to the evidence. You don't want to believe that he lies everyday so your playing this game. That's what trolls do though. You know as well as I that the only way to get the truth that your looking for is to listen to his show. "

Ronnie wrote on Nov 11, 2008 9:56 AM:

" No, you are playing games, jumping between different boards, making it appear more than one person is posting. I know what you are. You dont even use a screen name. You admitted yourself you only provided one example of a lie, which is not proof he lies everyday. If I buy a car one day, is that proof I buy a car everyday? Answer: NO. Also, in order for a lie to occur, the person telling it must be aware it is untrue. Otherwise, it is just a mistake. "

To Ronnie wrote on Nov 10, 2008 9:48 PM:

" Your not looking for proof at all. Your just being confrontational. I gave you several examples and you know it. If you want to hear his lies, just listen to his show. Your not going to be convinced because you even call the proven example I gave you a "supposed" lie. It's not a "supposed" lie, it's a lie, period. I wasn't "waiting between posts to fool anyone". I was reading and looking at you tube before I responded again. I don't have to "fool anyone" much less you. The last show I'm ever going to listen to again was the one he lied about Obama being an Arab and as far from African American as anyone could be. That was the week you first asked for proof. I gave it to you. Grow up... "

Ronnie wrote on Nov 10, 2008 8:40 AM:

" It doesnt matter. You stated he lies daily, which you provided no proof of. Dont put it on me-it is you who needs to own your statement. It is not I who wants to find his lies-it is you. Back up your statements. That is all I ask. Providing one example of a supposed lie is not proof he lies daily. Try again and try harder. Oh, by the way, waiting more than an hour between posts is not fooling anyone. "

To Ronnie Jeff or Joan wrote on Nov 7, 2008 10:01 PM:

" Check out youtube. Several of Limbaugh's lies are up now. Several Google searches turn up recent lies as well. It's not hard to find his lies if you really want too. "

To Ronnie wrote on Nov 7, 2008 8:48 PM:

" Your starting to sound more pathetic with every post. You should have taken Logic 101 at UWL. Limbaugh didn't say he "believed" Obama was an Arab or Muslim, he said HE WAS. When your a radio talk show host and reach millions of listeners like he does and say things like that, it's a lie and you know it. When you deliberately mislead people, that's the same as a lie and he does it all the time. That's what dishonesty is all about. You can call it a "mistake" if you want, but I call statements like that lies. Rush Limbaugh is a liar and a dishonest person and you my friend should start being honest with yourself. "

Ronnie wrote on Nov 7, 2008 8:54 AM:

" But you didnt assert only that he was a liar. You said he lies daily, which you provided no proof of. Besides, if Limbaugh BELIEVED Obama was a Muslim and an Arab, it wouldnt be a lie. It would be a mistake. "

To Ronnie wrote on Nov 6, 2008 7:55 PM:

" Your being confrontational and not adding anything of substance to this blog. I gave you proof when you asked for it. He called Obama an Arab and a Muslim. He's not either and that makes Limbaugh a liar. Goodbye to you unless you can add anything of substance to this blog. I don't have time to play games. "

Ronnie wrote on Nov 6, 2008 3:40 PM:

" It is November 7th. How about an example of any lies told this month? The 22nd was weeks ago. "

To Ronnie wrote on Nov 6, 2008 7:25 AM:

" You asked for a specific example of Limbaugh telling a lie in the last week. (you asked from the week of the twenty second). Look back at the posts more carefully. The example I gave you specifically is from one of his shows on the twenty second. (When he said Obama was an Arab). You seem to be hung up on an example from a particular week. That's the example I gave you. I don't have time to spin wheels with a troll. Suck it up buddy and check out the proof. I'm not listening to Limbaugh anymore, his ilk lost the election. "

Ronnie wrote on Nov 4, 2008 8:55 AM:

" You did not give me an example of a lie he told in the last week, so you provided no proof he lies daily. "

To Ronnie wrote on Nov 3, 2008 10:29 PM:

" I don't have anything against Muslims. I just don't like when people lie by calling them things that they aren't. You know, like calling people stalkers just because they call you out and make a point out of the truth. I gave you an exact example of Limbaugh telling a lie and you just don't want to believe it. Come on Ronnie, the truth never hurt anybody. Hope this clears it up for you. "

Ronnie wrote on Oct 31, 2008 9:30 AM:

" To my stalker: No, I wont. Dont worry. Sounds like you have been stalking other people too. I still dont get what you have against being a Muslim, or why you take it as an insult? "

To Ronnie wrote on Oct 29, 2008 9:27 PM:

" Your not going to start calling yourself by a woman's name again are you? I'm the one that caught you doing that last time troll. You should just call yourself "Ronnie the Troll". "

To Ronnie Gosset wrote on Oct 29, 2008 9:22 PM:

" I'm saying Obama isn't a Muslim you troll. On the Sept 22nd broadcast of his show, Limbaugh claimed Obama is "not black," and went on to ask: Do you know he has not one shred of African-American blood?" Limbaugh continued: He's Arab. You know, he's from Africa. He's from Arab parts of Africa. He's not African-American. The last thing that he is, is African-American." By all rights, there shouldn't be an advertiser in the country willing to associate their product with Limbaugh's show. And for the record, Obama is a Christian, raised by his white mother and grandparents in Hawaii. But Rush Limbaugh is telling people that he's an Arab and suspect as an American. Now, try finding some of Rush's lies for yourself troll, it' not hard. "

Ronnie Gossett wrote on Oct 29, 2008 9:37 AM:

" To my tormentor: You're still at it, huh? What are you getting at now? You're saying being a Muslim is bad? "

To To Ronnie wrote on Oct 29, 2008 8:51 AM:

" Lying daily does not mean one lie in the last several days(if that is even a lie). Come on, you are disappointing me here...you arent even trying to make your own case. Saying "listen to his radio show" is not evidence. "

To Ronnie wrote on Oct 28, 2008 9:47 PM:

" Oh Ronnie, just a few days ago he again said Obama was a Muslim. That's a lie and you know it. (and so does Lintball). "

To Ronnie wrote on Oct 28, 2008 9:45 PM:

" Read his books. That's evidence right there for ya. I don't have his radio show taped. Just listen real close and you'll hear him. That's the real reason he's losing his hearing you know. He's been listening to himself lie for so many year's, it's God's punishment for him. "

To To Ronnie wrote on Oct 28, 2008 3:02 PM:

" Still none from within the last several days. Still waiting patiently for some evidence....Oh, "Its on such and such a website" is not evidence.. "

To Ronnie son wrote on Oct 27, 2008 9:07 PM:

" Go to alternet to read about some of Limbaugh's lies. Some are very recent. In my opinion, Rush Limbaugh is a Nazi. And I stand behind my ten thirty seven pm post. Read son, read! "

Ronnie Gossett wrote on Oct 27, 2008 9:07 AM:

" Wake up son! You said he lied daily. I still see no examples from of any lies he told in the last week or two. Isnt that what the poster is asking? "

To one thirty five pm poster wrote on Oct 25, 2008 10:37 PM:

" Rush Limbaugh is a liar, a hypocrite and a druggie and you know it. All you have to do is be honest, listen to his show and you will see what I mean. Can you do that? Now for some specifics of his lying you can read his book "The Way Things Ought To Be". That alone is filled with so many errors, inaccuracies, deceptions and just plain BS that I can't list them all. These are the kinds of things he does on his show everyday. Remember his Michelle Obama and her so called "whitey" comment? That was Limbaugh and the comment was a lie. And don't be a troll and say because he believes it to be true that it's not a lie. A lie is a lie. And nobody is responsible for spreading more of them than Rush Limbaugh. "

To nine o three pm wrote on Oct 24, 2008 1:35 PM:

Rush Limbaugh is what's wrong with this country. If your a follower of his your part of the problem too. "

Kizarny wrote on Oct 17, 2008 9:11 AM:

To Kizarny wrote on Oct 16, 2008 8:42 PM:

" If you believe what your saying it's not a lie? Did I read that right? Have you ever listened to Rush Limbaugh? He lies ALL the time and he believes what he says. I think your a tad mixed up. "

To Michael wrote on Oct 16, 2008 4:03 PM:

" Well, lets discuss that one comment then, shall we? Rather than you repeating the same thing over and over, why not try discussing the point made? That is, that we all dismiss beliefs we dont agree with-including you. The only example of viciousness are some of Harschs and Smiths specific comments. You wont even tell me what was supposedly "vicious" about mine....it does seem as if anyone who disagrees with you is "full of hate" and "vicious". Others have noticed it to...see most current blog. Your "hateful" comments are always somehow justified. "

To Lee wrote on Oct 16, 2008 3:59 PM:

" No, your arguement falls apart when you realize Christians dont teach that you must be a member of a church in order to avoid eternal damnation. Accepting Christ benefits no one except yourself. "

Michael Welch TRY THIS ONE... wrote on Oct 16, 2008 12:13 PM:

" The viciousness of the Christians commenting here lies in their attitudes toward other religions and believers. We've been through the history of Christianity time and again so I KNOW that history has NO meaning for you and you know NOTHING about so there's no use choking that poor ol' chicken again. I've cited the viciousness below and VERY OFTEN but you of course -- parser monger that you are -- want to 'discuss' ONLY ONE COMMENT of yours and if it isn't 'vicious' enough that 'proves' YOU are NOT. Try 'vacuous' then; THAT DOES suit... "

Lee Bowers wrote on Oct 16, 2008 12:13 PM:

" By 'the troops in line' comment, I meant to convey the idea that both these organized religions use the threat of eternal torture to maintain and grow their membership. As you know, one doesn't need to belong to any religion to be a moral human being. Islam and Chritianity are fear-based. As to Jesus, which Jesus? There are 6 or 7 Jesus personality-types in the New Testamment. "

To Lee Bowers wrote on Oct 16, 2008 11:28 AM:

" I dont follow you. Are you saying people cant be moral without religion?(troops in line comment). I wouldnt say the religion is fear based, as the point is to alleviate the fear regarding your eternal destiny. I guess it comes down to whether you take Christ at his word or not. "

Lee Bowers wrote on Oct 16, 2008 10:26 AM:

" Well, nobody knows for sure what happens after we shuffle off this mortal coil. My God-given common sense tells me that the concept of everlasting torture embraced by Christians and Muslims for non-believers is a fiction propagated to keep the troops in line. Both are fear-based religions. "

Kizarny wrote on Oct 16, 2008 9:43 AM:

" But Lee, just because you believe something doesnt mean you actually cause that thing to happen. Anyway, I dont believe the Muslims are correct anyway, so its a moot point. "

Kizarny wrote on Oct 16, 2008 8:32 AM:

" Re 916---No. If you believe what you are saying, it is not a lie. For the record, they are correct anyway, so its a moot point. "

Lee Bowers wrote on Oct 16, 2008 7:26 AM:

" Ah, but what if the Muslims are correct? Then the Christians and the rest of us go to hell. Some harm in that I do believe. "

To ten tenty three am poster wrote on Oct 15, 2008 9:16 PM:

Michael Welch Tough Luck -- Live With It Or Change... wrote on Oct 15, 2008 12:01 PM:

" I repeat -- sigh! -- that I know MANY GREAT CHRISTIANS but YOU are NOT among them. THAT's the truth sad to say. I've dealt with your sort of 'religious' viciousness for years now and I don't even think of you as a 'real' Christian anymore. Sorry!... "

To Lee Bowers wrote on Oct 15, 2008 10:23 AM:

" True. Either Christians are correct or incorrect regarding this belief. If they are correct, no harm. They are sharing the way to avoid everlasting torture. If they are incorrect, no harm either I guess. "

Lee Bowers wrote on Oct 15, 2008 9:26 AM:

" Well, there are many many fine Christians, Muslims, Jews, Hindus etc. The fly in the ointment, at least for me, is that most Christians and Muslims believe that you're going to be tortured forever if you don't believe the way they do. "

To Michael wrote on Oct 15, 2008 8:43 AM:

" I didnt say you dont know many fine Christians-I said you dismiss the religion of Christianity as not being true. I know many fine buddhists, hindus, and even atheists. Obviously, though they are very fine, quality people, I disagree with them on some fundamental issues--that is to say, I believe they are wrong regarding some of their beliefs. Just as you believe Christians are wrong regarding what they believe(Christ being the Son of God). Dont position yourself any different than the rest of us is all I am saying-you "dismiss" beliefs you dont agree with just like the rest of us, dont you? "

Michael Welch You Are The Worst Christians Ive Ever Encountered... wrote on Oct 14, 2008 11:59 AM:

" I am NOT 'dismissive' of the Christian religion; I know of MANY GREAT CHRISTIANS, living and dead -- they just are NOT 'evidenced' here on Jimmy's blog. HERE they have NO imagination, no spiritual sense, no understanding of metaphor (Harsch is speaking metaphorically -- or else he's just wishing you'd disappear!) and NO interest in anything beyond turf protection. It is actually useless to 'discuss' anything as magical and wondrous as religion can be with people who lack ANY curiosity and ANY sense of wonder. 'REALLY'!? 'REALLY' indeed! You've been a terrible disappointment and moreover you've degraded Christianity with your one dimensional insistence. You are your worst enemy and you don't even know it... "

Really Michael... wrote on Oct 13, 2008 3:37 PM:

" You are just as dismissive of the Christian religion as you accuse Christians being of other religions. All of us "dismiss" beliefs that we dont agree with. Its makes us individuals instead of clones of one another. "

To Michael wrote on Oct 13, 2008 3:04 PM:

" You didnt even attempt to address the ridiculous assertion that if one had religion, one would be invisible. In your attempt to address evangelism, you missed the whole point. The only supposed sin would be ONLY against people who believe as you do, not all of humanity. Oh, wait, I guess I am "parsing" now as I am responding to another posters ridiculous claims.....is that how it works? "

Michael Welch Harsch Is Unfortunately Correct... wrote on Oct 13, 2008 12:24 PM:

" 'Evangelism' IS a 'sin' against humanity because all religions deserve EQUAL respect and the understanding that EACH one has pertinence to the indigenous cultures whence it sprang and developed. Hinduism for example is an EXTREMELY sophisticated set of beliefs, as is Buddhism, and comparatively the western monotheisms are rather 'simplistic' -- until one explores the 'mystical' aspects such as 'sufism' in Islam and the Jewish equivalent, the 'kabbalah,' not to mention the Christian mystical tradition largely found in the Catholic church. NO 'Christian' literalist commenting here even KNOWS or CARES to know about these religious traditions; consequently their views on them are BOTH ignorant AND inhumane... "

Izzy to Rick wrote on Oct 13, 2008 10:48 AM:

" Come on, Rick. That is pretty silly, even for you. "

To Harsch wrote on Oct 13, 2008 8:35 AM:

" Could you explain your comment regarding evangelism being a sin against humanity? Also your assertion that if one had religion, one would ascend and be invisible? Both of these statements are simply not true--as evidence I cite everyone with religion that I can plainly see. Were you on something when you posted this? "

" Wow, what a storm: a tempest in a turdpot, a tornado in a toilet, a gassy gust in a gothic fust. Thanks for the implicit high regard. Thanks for caring. Thanks for the murmuries. But...my point is this: honest religious feeling is a very private matter, evangelism is a sin (see POB, I said it) against humanity. Blowing hard on a blog about your religion is proof of insecurity and a lack of trust in your faith, or a lack of faith in your trust. No great religious figure has ever been a spouter, and nary a one of ye is a preacher. You don't have religion, fellas; if you did, you would ascend and be invisible. Your need to be seen (naked) is a sorry circumstance. (laughing now) Rick bless you all. "

" Hey we really love you 'Nest' -- when NO rightie ditie here can bother to formulate an interesting argument or put together a salient idea we can always nudge ol' 'Nest'; I mean WHAT would we do without him? 'Cagefighter' has become a simple repetitive bore and the various anonymities that comment out of the stark blue must be so traumatized from reviewing their 401Ks that they can't do anything but mouth 'McDowell!' 'Strobel!' And oh yeah: 'Ricky Harsch is MEAN!' So no wonder Krause bows out most the time; even HE gets tired of it I think... "

Lee Bowers wrote on Oct 10, 2008 12:16 PM:

Unfortunately, this album did not sell very well and Nestor and Wilford never recorded again. "
